I’m not sure who needs to hear this but if you were praying for a sign or hope or just something, anything – then this is for you…
It wasn’t just one day I woke up and everything changed. It was days, weeks, months. Hell even years honestly of wanting better. Wanting to get out of the survival mode I had been living in for so long. “But you’re so young” yea, I am. Sometimes the things you go through in life really have no age factor, no discrimination against how old you are.
It was baby steps, small wins, little moments that got me here. And it’s certainly not to a perfect place but it’s to a place of continued growth. Healing from the things no one knew about. “But Kayleigh your life looks so great on social media!” Of course it does, that’s how social media works, right? There used to be a time where sharing my story with people felt like the most anxiety inducing thing I could ever think of.
So if you’re struggling (with whatever it may be) I hear you, I see you, and often times I’ve BEEN you. Don’t let any of my fun posts fool you. I’ve lived in a dark place for a long time masked with a smile and a story that could make you cry. I share with you now because I’ll always be to someone else what I needed but didn’t always get. I’m an email or DM away. You don’t ever have to do this life alone. I don’t care if we haven’t ever talked, that won’t stop me from being someone you need if you need it.
