Our lives are like legos, sometimes at first things can seem like a mess and everything is in pieces. Some pieces look pretty on their own, some seem like they don’t make any sense and others you have no idea how they could possibly fit in.
We take our time crafting – a piece here, a piece there, sometimes we have to look at the instructions but just like the perfect connection of each piece, we were made to fit together in such a way to make something beautiful.
Sometimes we can crumble or a piece might fall off but we can always put it back together. To be whole again. And then we step back and admire the perfect flower that has emerged from the mess of pieces. The delicate dance of life, the beautiful sunflower.
Like sunflowers we will stand tall and I’ll be right here next to you. Forever and always your sunshine.
This is a poem I wrote for my mom for her birthday and gifted her with these sunflower Legos.
